繼《Red Dead Redemption 2》和《俠盜獵車手：三部曲》之後，Rockstar Games 近期對任天堂 Switch 平台的支持持續增強，因此《GTA5》移植到 Switch 平台也在情理之中，考慮到這款遊戲最初是在 PlayStation 3 和 Xbox 360 上發布的，與《Red Dead Redemption》屬於同一時期。
目前，雖然《GTA5》移植到任天堂 Switch 的消息尚未得到官方確認，但我們知道 Rockstar Games 正在開發系列的下一部作品。該遊戲預計將於 2025 年在 PlayStation 5 和 Xbox Series X|S 上推出，也許 Rockstar Games 還會施展魔法，將 GTA 6 帶到任天堂 Switch 的後繼機上。
